UPDATE: Plan for overnight alternating lane restrictions on Battaglia Drive in Arizona City through October
This alert extends the lane restrictions end date from Aug. 31. Overnight width restrictions will continue on westbound Battaglia Drive.
The Arizona Department of Transportation, in conjunction with Pinal County, advises motorists traveling on Battaglia Drive in Arizona City to expect continued overnight alternating lane restrictions through October for a shoulder widening project.
The following restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday through October:
- East- and westbound Battaglia Drive will be narrowed to one lane with alternating lane restrictions between Overfield and Henness roads.
- Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place on eastbound Battaglia Drive.
- A 10-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place on westbound Battaglia Drive. Oversize loads may be accommodated with advance notice.
ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, be prepared to make frequent stops and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
