Battaglia Drive: Between Henness and Overfield Roads Shoulder Widening Project
Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation in partnership with Pinal County is tentatively scheduled to begin work in summer 2026 on the Battaglia Drive shoulder widening project between Henness and Overfield roads. The purpose of the project is to construct wider shoulders to help improve mobility along the corridor.
Project Elements
- Install a 2-ft shoulder on eastbound Battaglia Drive and 5-ft shoulder on westbound Battaglia Drive.
What to Expect
- Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the construction area.
- Day time and night time work is planned. Day time work is tentatively scheduled Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and night time work is tentatively scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Expect temporary delays as traffic is redirected through a single travel lane.
- ADOT will provide advance notice of restrictions and closures to email subscribers.

Construction on this project is anticipated to begin in summer 2026 and is projected to take 6 months to complete. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
