Battaglia Drive: Between Henness and Overfield Roads Shoulder Widening Project
Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation in partnership with Pinal County has tentatively scheduled work on the Battaglia Drive shoulder widening project between Henness and Overfield roads to begin in the winter of 2025. The purpose of the project is to construct wider shoulders to help improve mobility along the corridor.
Project Elements
- Install a 2-ft shoulder on eastbound Battaglia Drive and 5-ft shoulder on westbound Battaglia Drive.
What to Expect
- Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the construction area.
- Construction work is tentatively scheduled overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
- Expect temporary delays as traffic is redirected through a single travel lane.
- ADOT will provide advance notice of restrictions and closures to email subscribers.

Construction on this project is anticipated to begin in the winter of 2025 and is projected to be completed in the summer of 2026. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
