The Arizona Department of Transportation will complete a pavement rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 between Ajo Way and milepost 272 near Rita Road starting in late 2022.

Key elements of the project include:

  • Milling and repaving of the roadway surface
  • Bridge repairs
  • Guardrail replacement
  • Signs and striping

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2023.

Traffic Restrictions

I-10 will be reduced to a single lane at night in various locations throughout the project limits between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

In addition, intermittent overnight ramp restrictions and closures of local streets that pass beneath I-10 within the work zone should also be anticipated during those same hours.
