UPDATE: Plan for continued daytime lane restrictions through March and temporary driveway closures on SR 289 (Ruby Road)
This update adds the SR 289 driveway restriction and extends the lane restriction schedule through March.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions on State Route 289 (Ruby Road) near Peña Blanca Lake from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays through March as work continues on the pavement rehabilitation project.
Temporary driveway closures are also tentatively scheduled on SR 289 to allow placement, compacting and curing of asphalt.
The following lane restrictions are scheduled:
- Daytime lane restrictions on east- and westbound SR 289 (Ruby Road) between mileposts 1 and 9
- Flagging operation in the project area
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction
- 25 mph speed limit in the work zone
Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
