Traffic Alerts - State Route 77: Junction Interstate 10

Paving on State Route 77 in Oro Valley to begin second half of July

The Arizona Department of Transportation is making improvements to the 10 mile corridor of State Route 77 from the Interstate 10 junction - Miracle Mile to Calle Concordia.  

Paving is expected to begin between Magee Road and Calle Concordia the second half of July. Most work will take place overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open at all times during the night work.

During the day, all lanes on SR 77 (Oracle Road) will remain open, most of the time.

Motorists will see preliminary work on two bus pull-outs on SR 77, north of Magee Road, near Hardy Road, ahead of the upcoming paving.  

Other project work in progress include:

  • Crews are completing sidewalks and curb work on the south side of Miracle Mile between I-10 and SR 77 (Oracle Road).
  • Crews are completing sidewalks and curb work on the east side of SR 77 (Oracle Road) between Miracle and River Road.
  • This week (June 28), crews will begin sidewalk and curb work on the north side of Miracle Mile from SR 77 (Oracle Road) to I-10.
  • The week of July 11, sidewalk and curb work will begin on the west side of SR 77 (Oracle Road) between River Road and Miracle Mile.

Motorists travelling on SR 77 (Oracle Road) and Miracle Mile will see intermittent lane closures.

Most work will take place Sunday night thru Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.   

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
