UPDATE: Plan for daytime lane restrictions on SR 86 in Pima County starting Feb. 3
This updates the lane restrictions schedule from the Jan. 17 alert
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for daytime alternating lane restrictions on State Route 86 in Pima County on the Tohono O'odham Nation from Monday, Feb.3, through Monday, April 28, for pavement work.
The following lane restrictions will occur weekdays between 4:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.:
- Intermittent lane closures on east- and westbound SR 86 between mileposts 80 and 90 are scheduled.
- An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- Flaggers will direct traffic through the project area during construction.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph during construction.
ADOT reminds motorists to plan for delays, proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
