State Route 90: Border Patrol Station to Moson Road pavement project
Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation is completing a pavement rehabilitation project located on State Route 90 between the border patrol station and Moson Road (mileposts 304-325) in Cochise County.

Project Elements
- Replacing existing asphalt with new asphalt
- Replacing guard rails
- Installing new sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, and signage
- Completing new pavement markings
- Installing in ground-in rumble strips on shoulders and the centerline as necessary
Project Schedule
Construction started in April and is estimated to be completed in summer 2025. In early May crews will remove and replace guardrails. Once the guardrails are complete, crews will then begin curb, sidewalk, and gutter work, with pavement preservation work tentatively scheduled to start in fall 2024.
Work will be completed Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
One lane will be open to traffic in each direction for the majority of the project and drivers should anticipate delays. Please allow for extra time when traveling through the area.
