Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project to improve the safety of the  five Port of Entry (POE) sites in Arizona: Page, San Simon, Topock, Sanders and Yuma.

Project Elements

  • Install temporary concrete barriers, guardrails, crash cushions, end terminals, asphalt paving and pavement markings, lighting and catch basins.
  • Relocate signs and other related work.

Project Area

The project will improve the POE sites at Page, San Simon, Topock, Sanders and Yuma.

What to Expect

Some sites will require overnight lane restrictions and ramp closures to the POE. ADOT will try to limit the closures to minimize impacts to the POE operations and provide advance notice to email subscribers and on the project website.  

Project Schedule

Construction began November 2024 and is expected to be completed in summer 2025. 
Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
