The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Payson area drivers to plan for around-the-clock lane restrictions on State Route 87 at the State Route 260 junction as work continues on the SR 87 Payson Street Improvements project.
The following restrictions will be in place beginning 8 p.m. Sunday, May 17, through 7 a.m. Thursday, May 21:
- North- and southbound left-lane restrictions on SR 87 approaching the SR 260 junction
- Westbound SR 260 left-turn lane restriction at the SR 87 junction (one left turn lane will remain open)
- Construction will take place overnight, but restrictions will remain during daytime hours
- Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared for slowing and frequent stops in the work zones
The work is part of ADOT’s $12.2 million SR 87 Payson Street Improvements project between Green Valley Parkway and Crackerjack Road.
