ADOT Kids (and parents) -

Calling all ADOT artists. Here is another way to let your artistic energy out while staying cool indoors. Coloring specialty license plates. It is a fun way to express your artistic side and you can either try to match the actual plate, or put your personal touch on the paper version of some of the more colorful specialty plates available in Arizona.

Did you know there are more than 100 different specialty plates in Arizona? We chose six plates that show off Arizona’s natural beauty, wildlife, golf, and a plate featuring pets.

Show your support by coloring your favorite plate, or all six. Then send a photo of your masterpiece to [email protected] and we might highlight your work on our social media pages.

Specialty plates are not just colorful images of Arizona, they also give valuable support to charities that help kids and adults.

These plates represent lots of charities that are working to help Arizona communities in many different ways. They support educational and sports programs designed to improve the lives of children, health, inclusion of individuals with and without disabilities, wellness and economic advancement, scholarship opportunities, protect Arizona’s natural resources and support for the families of law enforcement and military personnel.

Approximately $12 million is donated each year through these colorful plates. Most specialty plates cost $25 each year. $17 from each plate goes to a charity or nonprofit group of that plate.
