A vehicle registration sticker on a license plate.

You are about to leave home for work, shopping or time with friends. You don’t expect to get pulled over, but it can happen if you don’t pay close attention to when your vehicle’s registration expires.

Although the sticker on your license plate indicates the month of expiration, it’s important to keep in mind that some vehicle registrations expire at the end of the month and others on the 15th day of a month.

Avoid the hassle of being pulled over and dealing with fines by checking your vehicle’s registration so you can renew it on time. You can see the specific expiration date on the current registration in your vehicle or at AZMVDNOW.gov. You can renew online, at an MVD office or an Authorized Third Party location.

Registration documents and license plate tabs are mailed and no longer printed at MVD offices. But when you renew, your record is updated instantly and your receipt is proof of registration.
