February recap: Specialty Plate Spotlight

Got a favorite charity? Want to let others know about it? You can showcase it on your vehicle with one of more than 100 specialty license plates offered through the Arizona Department of Transportation.  

To boost awareness, we spotlight one specialty license plate a week on social media.

Here are the plates that were featured in February:

• Empower: $17 goes to supporting veterans and military families by empowering charitable organizations with resources necessary to carry out their missions.
• Amateur Radio: $17 dollars of the fee goes to a special fund for college scholarships, youth programs, and emergency response communications.
• Habitat for Humanity: $17 goes to support Arizona families in need of decent, affordable housing.
