MVD Community Connections School Supply Drive

Despite the scorching summer heat, many students in Arizona return to school in July and August. The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division helped kids and teachers head back with the cool backpacks and supplies needed for another successful year in the classroom.

For the fourth straight year, team members at several MVD locations across the state collected supplies like pencils, pens, paper, backpacks, glue and other essentials for the classroom like hand sanitizer, paper towels and facial tissues.

MVD employees in Casa Grande, Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson collected the supplies at their respective offices. Each location chose a deserving school within their community to receive the supplies.

MVD Community Connections engages with the communities our team members live and work in. Other Community Connection efforts include food and clothing drives during the holidays, soda can tab collections to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses around Arizona, and bottled water drives during the summer.

These events are purely employee driven as a way to support other organizations right there in the same community as the MVD offices.
