MVD Community Connections Holiday Drive

While it may not feel like the winter is here, the MVD Community Connections team has been collecting Christmas toys and items to ensure the spirit of the holidays is still in the community despite the warmer temperatures.

MVD offices pick a charitable organization in their community to help during the holiday season. They collect food, toys or whatever supplies that the charitable organization requests to help bring that holiday feeling to families in need.

Here are just a few of the few holiday drives organized by MVD locations across the state:

Chandler MVD employees donated over 150 pounds of food to help Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank provide nutritious meals during the holidays.

Nogales MVD employees donated toys for children who are staying at the Cross Roads Mission shelter.

Tucson locations donated festive blankets, toys and even school supplies for babies and children at the Tucson Medical Center and More Than a Bed, an organization that helps provide needed supplies for children in foster care.

The Phoenix Contact Center employees gathered toys and home supplies to support the efforts at the Hope Women’s Center that provides education, mentoring and support to vulnerable women and teens.

Together, these local donation drives bring cheer and lift up the spirits of both those receiving the donations, and those that gave them for a larger impact that reaches beyond the community.

Happy holidays from everyone at ADOT MVD!
