The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that the daytime road closure on US 60 between Superior and Miami (mileposts 227-243) originally scheduled Thursday, June 11, as part of a bridge replacement project has been canceled.

Upcoming full closures:

  • Full closures of US 60 between Superior and Miami are tentatively scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, and

Plan on closures along sections of SR 51, Loop 202, Loop 101

PHOENIX – Closures or lane restrictions for improvement projects are scheduled along several Phoenix-area freeways this weekend (June 12-15), according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use detour routes as needed for these weekend freeway restrictions:

  • Southbound SR 51 closed

  • The westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 67th Avenue and off-ramp at 75th Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Sunday, June 14, and ending Tuesday morning, June 16. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 67th Avenue and the on-ramp at 75th Avenue.
       
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at 75th Avenue will be closed nightly

  • Eastbound Loop 202 will be closed between Price Road and Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday, June 12, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 15.
    • DETOUR: Drivers may consider using Chandler Boulevard or Germann Road to navigate around the closure.
  • Lindsay Road will continue to be closed in both directions nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday morning, June 12, and again from 10 p.m. Friday

Prepare for delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 southwest of Kingman to expect daytime lane restrictions beginning Tuesday, May 28, through the end of October as crews replace the top pavement surface on a 14-mile segment of the interstate.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the southbound Loop 101  on-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to be closed beginning at 1 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19 for approximately 60 days for ramp reconstruction as part of the current Loop 101 widening project.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to the Raintree Drive southbound on-ramp

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for restrictions and delays on State Route 79 from the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct at milepost 132 (north of Salazar Street) to Jason Lopez Circle at milepost 135 in Florence while crews perform a pavement improvement project. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on US 93 near the community of Wikieup to plan for daytime restrictions May 20 - 23, along a 10-mile section of the highway.

The following restrictions will be in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23:

  • US 93 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel

Long-term ramp closures are needed to realign on- and off-ramps to accommodate the additional general purpose lanes. The following is the current schedule of starting dates for ramp closures through early August. Each closure will last approximately 60 days.

  • April 15, Shea Blvd northbound on-ramp (Reopened Saturday, June 15)
  • April 29, Cactus Rd northbound off-ramp (Reopened Friday, June 28)
