UPDATE: Eastbound Loop 303 closures between 43rd Avenue and I-17 now scheduled through May 31

  • UPDATED: Eastbound Loop 303 will be CLOSED between 43rd Avenue and I-17 at the following times:
    • Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, May 18, and ending Friday morning, May 22
    • NEW: Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, May 26, and ending Friday morning, May 29

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed in Tempe.

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that the daytime road closure on US 60 between Superior and Miami (mileposts 227-243) originally scheduled May 21 as part of a bridge replacement project has been canceled.

ADOT joins other first responders in promoting safe driving

PHOENIX – Drivers heading out on Arizona road trips over Memorial Day weekend will not face any full highway construction closures. The Arizona Department of Transportation says travelers should plan ahead and allow extra time since heavier traffic is expected during peak travel times, especially on Friday and Monday.

  • UPDATED: 75th Avenue will be closed overnight between Loop 101 and Aspera Boulevard from 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 20.
    • At the same time, the east- and westbound Loop 101 off-ramps at 75th Avenue will be closed.
    • Detour: Drivers may use 67th Avenue to access east- and westbound Loop 101.
       
  • NEW: 31st Avenue will be closed nightly between Behrend and Blackhawk

  • Lindsay Road will be closed in both directions at Loop 202 nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, May 18, and ending Friday morning, May 22.

Prepare for delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 southwest of Kingman to expect daytime lane restrictions beginning Tuesday, May 28, through the end of October as crews replace the top pavement surface on a 14-mile segment of the interstate.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the southbound Loop 101  on-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to be closed beginning at 1 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19 for approximately 60 days for ramp reconstruction as part of the current Loop 101 widening project.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for restrictions and delays on State Route 79 from the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct at milepost 132 (north of Salazar Street) to Jason Lopez Circle at milepost 135 in Florence while crews perform a pavement improvement project.
