Electronic Lien and Title

Effective May 31, 2010, Law 2009, Chapter 70 requires all lenders to release vehicle liens electronically. Mobile-home liens are exempt from this requirement.

All lenders conducting business are required to transmit lien information through an approved service provider.

Note: These requirements are for all commercial entities recording lien information on vehicle titles with the exception of mobile home titles.
