US 160 resurfacing in Tuba City area starts the week of April 6
The project will require lane closures and traffic shifts into fall 2026
FLAGSTAFF – Work to improve a 14-mile stretch of US 160 in the Tuba City area in Northeastern Arizona is scheduled to start the week of April 6-10, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Drivers should allow extra travel time due to anticipated delays while resurfacing and other work, including guardrail and drainage system upgrades, are underway both in and east of Tuba City (mileposts 321-335).
- Work in locations with more than one lane in each direction in Tuba City is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and on Friday mornings until noon. Lane closures and traffic shifts are planned.
- Along two-lane sections of US 160 east of Tuba City, flag crews and a pilot vehicle will direct traffic through work zones one direction at a time. Work is scheduled in these areas from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and on Friday mornings until noon.
ADOT is working on the $20.5 million US 160 improvement project in cooperation with the Navajo Nation and Hopi Tribe. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2026. More information is available at azdot.gov/US160Improvements.
