The Arizona Department of Transportation is designing a project to widen US 95 between the Wellton-Mohawk Canal (milepost 38.5) and Imperial Dam Road (milepost 43.4).

The Arizona Department of Transportation is completing a pavement rehabilitation project located in Greenlee County on US 191 between milepost 160 and 173 near the Town of Clifton.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for restrictions and delays on State Route 79 from the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct at milepost 132 (north of Salazar Street) to Jason Lopez Circle at milepost 135 in Florence while crews perform a pavement improvement project. Crews will perform nightwork from 8 p.m. to  8 a.m. Sunday, July, 21 through Friday, July 26. The remainder of the work will be completed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug 25. The heaviest delays are expected July 22 through July 27 while crews perform the milling and paving portion of the project. 

Drivers should prepare for:

  • A reduced speed limit of 25 mph
  • 12-ft width restriction
  • Flagging operation to help drivers navigate the area

Schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

ADOT is hiring paid interns to work in its Equipment Services Division. Interns get hands-on training in automotive repair and maintenance.

Overnight closure of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in north Scottsdale scheduled June 16-17 and June 20-21

Long-term right lane closure on Shea Boulevard to begin June 18

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions as part of the Loop 101 widening project in north Scottsdale:

FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BOULEVARD:

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 9 p.m. Monday, June 16, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, and again from 9 p.m. Friday, June 20, to 8 a.m. Saturday, June 21, for bridge work.
    • Eastbound Detour: Drivers may use the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Raintree Drive to the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard east of the closure. 
    • Westbound Detour: Drivers may use the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to westbound Bell Road to the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard west of the closure.

SHEA BOULEVARD:

  • Westbound Shea Boulevard between 90th Street and Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes beginning at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, and will open at approximately 11:55 p.m. Thursday, July 3, for widening.
    • NOTE: Access to northbound Loop 101 from westbound Shea Boulevard  will be closed overnight from 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 19, for concrete work. 
      • Detour: Drivers may continue on westbound Shea Boulevard to northbound Hayden Road to eastbound Cactus Road to access northbound Loop 101.

Turn bay closures on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard east of Loop 101 begin May 27

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures as part of the current Loop 101 widening project:

  • The two left-turn bays in the median along Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard between Loop 101 and 90th Street will be closed for approximately 30 days beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, for median work.
