The Arizona Department of Transportation is completing a pavement rehabilitation project located in Greenlee County on US 191 between milepost 160 and 173 near the Town of Clifton.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for restrictions and delays on State Route 79 from the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct at milepost 132 (north of Salazar Street) to Jason Lopez Circle at milepost 135 in Florence while crews perform a pavement improvement project. Crews will perform nightwork from 8 p.m. to  8 a.m. Sunday, July, 21 through Friday, July 26. The remainder of the work will be completed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug 25. The heaviest delays are expected July 22 through July 27 while crews perform the milling and paving portion of the project. 

Drivers should prepare for:

  • A reduced speed limit of 25 mph
  • 12-ft width restriction
  • Flagging operation to help drivers navigate the area

Schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Reminder: Southbound Loop 101 closed in north Scottsdale Aug. 1-4

Also in August: Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd closures, the start of a Raintree Dr ramp closure

The Arizona Department of Transportation reminds drivers to plan for the following Loop 101 closure for freeway widening as part of the current Loop 101 project in north Scottsdale.

  • Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4. The eastbound/southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Scottsdale and Hayden roads also will be closed. 

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using southbound Scottsdale Road to eastbound Shea Boulevard to access Loop 101 beyond the closure.

UPCOMING CLOSURES/RESTRICTIONS

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 during the following times for bridge work: 
    • Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, through the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 6, and again from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, to 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.
      • Eastbound Detour: Drivers may use the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Raintree Drive to the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard east of the closure. 
      • Westbound Detour: Drivers may use the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to westbound Bell Road to the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard west of the closure.
        • NOTE: There will be no access to businesses north of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard between 90th Street and Loop 101 on Saturday, Aug. 9, from midnight until 4 a.m.
          • Detour: Drivers may use southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to northbound Hayden Road to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard or southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to the Loop 101 frontage road.
    • At the same times, the southbound Loop 101 frontage road right turn bay to westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed.
      • Detour: Drivers may continue on the frontage road to westbound Raintree Drive to northbound Northsight Boulevard to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

Southbound Raintree Drive Long-Term Off-Ramp Closure

  • The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Raintree Drive will be closed beginning at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, for approximately 60 days, for reconstruction.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and using the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to Raintree Drive.
