The Arizona Department of Transportation is tentatively scheduled to begin a project to improve State Route 187 on the Gila River Indian Community in summer 2025. These improvements will include pavement preservation, shoulder widening, and adding new turn lanes, which will reduce congestion and improve mobility.

Every so often, we get a call about a dog or cat that has made its way onto the freeway. Not only are these extremely dangerous situations for the animals, it also threatens the safety of unexpecting motorists and the responders – often, ADOT crews – who attempt to rescue them.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project to repair the US 191 overpass at Interstate 10 near milepost 331 in Cochise County that was damaged due to an accident during the summer of 2023.
