Local Partner Grant Support
Local Partner Grant Support
ADOT’s Grant Coordination group provides assistance to local partners with:
- Securing letters of support from ADOT for a local grant applications;
- NOTE: A letter of support from ADOT merely means that ADOT is recommending the project be considered for funding. It does not constitute ADOT’s agreement to administer the Project.
- Submitting local transportation grant applications through grants.gov; and
- Consideration of requests for ADOT to partner on a grant application.
The Grant Coordination group does not initiate, manage or prepare local entity applications.
Regional, local or tribal agencies interested in coordinating with ADOT for a specific federal grant opportunity must submit the ADOT Grant Support Form with as much information and documentation as possible 30 days (recommended processing time) prior to the grant application submission deadline.
Most grant opportunities require cost sharing from non-federal sources and are highly competitive. To be informed of federal grant opportunities, register at grants.gov.
Please consider the grant eligibility requirements given in the NOFO to make sure the project has all clearances, e.g., environmental (NEPA), right-of-way.
As a direct recipient, the federal requirements to execute a grant agreement with USDOT may take substantially more time. Please consider this time requirement.
