2024 State Management Plan DRAFT - Notice for Public Comment

ADOT has released the draft of the State Management Plan for federal public transit programs for public review and comment.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires each state to develop a State Management Plan that describes the policies and procedures to be used in administering federal grant programs that develop new transit systems and improve, maintain and operate existing systems (specifically those within FTA Section 5310, 5311 and 5339).

Updates to the 2024 edition of the State Management Plan include:

Updates in accordance with new programs
New section on the use of emergency funding
New information regarding the use of Consolidated Planning Grants for Transit Planning funding

The public can provide comments on the draft plan through Nov. 30 in any of the following ways:

Following the public comment period, ADOT will review and address public comments and submit the final plan to FTA for its review and approval.
