Central District Freeway Frontage Road Traffic Control Study

Completed 2021 - ADOT completed the study to assess the needed traffic control at the junction of freeway off ramps and frontage roads. The study analyzed 65 locations and developed recommendations for stop, yield and no traffic control on one and two lane frontage roads based on crash history, traffic volume, roadway geometrics and posted speed limits. The study recommendations provide general traffic control guidance that will be further evaluated based on the unique needs of each project location on a case by case basis.
