Eastbound US 60 weekend closure planned between McClintock and Country Club drives, March 17-20

Nightly lane restrictions beginning March 15 between Mesa and Val Vista drives

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closure on US 60 (Superstition Freeway) in Mesa for pavement rehabilitation beginning Friday, March 17.

  • Eastbound US 60 between McClintock and Country Club drives will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, March 17, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 20. The following ramps also will be closed:
    • The Loop 101 ramps to eastbound US 60
    • The eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Mill Avenue and Rural Road

Nightly lane restrictions March 15 & 16:

  • Eastbound US 60 between Mesa and Val Vista drives will have nightly lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday, March 15, through the morning of Friday, March 17.

Detours: Drivers can consider using Southern Avenue or Broadway Road to connect with their destinations to the north of US 60 and Baseline or Guadalupe roads south of US 60.

Upcoming Closures:

  • Westbound US 60 between Loop 202 and Power Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, March 24, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 27.
    • The westbound US 60 on-ramp at Ellsworth Road also will be closed
  • Eastbound US 60 between Lindsay Road and Superstition Springs Boulevard will have nightly lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday, March 22, through the morning of Friday, March 24.

The pavement improvement work along 14 miles of US 60 will occur over several months and will require numerous closures. We will continue to provide updates as the work progresses. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
