Overview

Project Cost: $2.1 million

The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a pavement project along Business 40 (B-40), locally known as Navajo Boulevard, in Holbrook. The mile-long project was located between Crestview Drive and Joy Nevin Avenue (milepost 287).

Project Elements

The purpose of this project was to rehabilitate and improve the pavement surface, which will extend the life of the roadway and create a smooth riding surface for drivers. The work included: 

  • Replacing the top layer of pavement along B-40 through downtown Holbrook 
  • Installation of ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps at 24 locations throughout the project area 
  • Replace concrete across B-40 at Florida and Erie streets, then pave the new sections
