Expect restrictions on Business 40 (Navajo Boulevard) in Holbrook for pavement project
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect daytime lane restrictions along Business 40, locally known as Navajo Boulevard, in downtown Holbrook beginning Monday, Sept. 23, for a pavement rehabilitation project.
Drivers should expect the following restrictions Mondays through Fridays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- B-40 (Navajo Boulevard) will have lane closures in various locations between Crestview Drive and Joy Nevin Avenue (mileposts 287-288).
- Drivers will need to slow down and merge over when approaching the work zone.
- Access to businesses will be maintained; however, there may be brief restrictions when/if work takes place directly in front of driveways and side streets.
- Traffic control may include travel through the railroad crossing, which may be controlled by flaggers.
Crews will begin the project by installing ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps at 24 locations within the project area. Crews will start at the northern end of the project area, near Crestview Drive, and work south.
The project is scheduled to be completed in December.
