What to Expect During Construction

Traffic on Perkins Valley Road will be reduced to one lane of alternating north-south travel across the bridge. Temporary traffic signals will direct drivers over the bridge during construction.

I-40 will be closed under the bridge at times during the project. Drivers will be detoured along the off- and on-ramps during those times.

Drivers need to be prepared to stop and wait when approaching the work zone, drive slowly through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.

ADOT will post information about traffic restrictions and closures as it becomes available. To receive traffic alerts and other updates by email, please subscribe here.

You can also stay informed of real-time, project-related traffic restrictions by visiting az511.gov or call 511, except while driving.

Schedules are subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen factors. Remember to slow down and use caution around construction workers and equipment.
