Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with Navajo County, has completed a safety improvement project to install sidewalks along local streets in Joseph City.

Project Elements
The purpose of this project was to improve pedestrian safety by adding new sidewalks along the following streets:
- 1st North Avenue between Bushman and Randall avenues
- 3rd North Avenue between Westover and Trotter avenues
- 4th North Avenue between Westover and Randall avenues
- Bushman Avenue between Business 40 (Main St) and 2nd North Avenue
- Westover Avenue between Business 40 (Main St) and 4th North Avenue
- Shelley Avenue between Business 40 (Main St) and 2nd North Avenue
- Randall Avenue between 1st North and 4th North avenues
Other work included constructing curb and gutter, new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps, pavement markings, signing and other related work.
