Expect overnight lane restrictions on SR 260 in west Show Low beginning Aug. 17 as pavement work begins
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that overnight lane restrictions along State Route 260 in west Show Low will begin Monday evening, Aug. 17, as work continues on the SR 260 Linden to Show Low pavement rehabilitation project.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions from 7 p.m to 7 a.m. Monday evenings through Friday mornings for paving operations:
- SR 260 will be reduced to one lane only with alternating east- and westbound travel in segments roughly between Timber Ranch Road and Joe Tank Road (mileposts 332-337).
- Flaggers and a pilot car will move drivers through the work zone.
- Drivers need to be prepared to make frequent stops when approaching and driving through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
- In addition, SR 260 will have lane restrictions between Mogollon Drive and US 60 (mileposts 338-340).
- Drivers will need to slow down and merge into the open lane when approaching the work zone.
- Restrictions will be lifted each morning after work hours.
- No work is scheduled to take place on weekends or holidays.
Pavement work is anticipated to be completed by early September. The entire project is anticipated to be completed later in the fall.
