Expect lane restrictions along SR 377 between Holbrook and Heber-Overgaard as improvement project begins April 1
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for lane restrictions along State Route 377 between Holbrook and Heber-Overgaard as a new shoulder widening project starts on Wednesday, April 1.
Drivers should expect the following restrictions from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays:
- SR 377 will be reduced to one lane only in 2-mile segments with alternating north- and southbound travel between mileposts 8-13.
- Vehicles will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car.
- A 12-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
- Drivers need to be prepared to make frequent stops when approaching and driving through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
- Drivers can also use State Routes 77 and 277 as a detour.
- No work is scheduled on weekends or state holidays.
The project is anticipated to be completed by the fall.
