Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project to rehabilitate the Little Colorado Bridge and roadway pavement along State Route 77 in Holbrook. The bridge is located south of Holbrook’s downtown area on the way to Snowflake.

The project is expected to begin in spring 2026 and be completed by late summer.

Project Elements

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the bridge and surrounding pavement and sidewalks to extend the life of the bridge.

The work will include:

  • Milling and repairing the existing bridge deck and deck joints.
  • Removing and replacing pavement along SR 77 from the north end of the bridge to Joy Nevin Avenue.
  • Repair existing concrete barriers and sidewalks.
  • Replace pavement markings and other related work.

What to Expect During Construction

There will be lane restrictions in both directions on SR 77 during construction. Drivers should expect delays when traveling across the bridge.
