Learn more

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions on US 191 in St. Johns beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, for a pavement rehabilitation project.

The following restrictions will be in place Mondays through Fridays during daylight hours:

  • US 191 will be reduced to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel roughly between Water Street and Cemetery Road (mileposts 316-317).

  • Onsite flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.

  • Drivers should be prepared to stop and expect delays while moving through the work zone.

  • Restrictions will be lifted each day after work hours.

No work is anticipated on weekends and holidays; however, weekend days may occasionally be necessary to complete the work. ADOT will notify the public prior to any active work on the weekend.

Crews will be removing and replacing the top layer of pavement to create a smooth driving surface.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late November.
