Overview

Project Cost: $1,045,127

The Arizona Department of Transportation is performing a scour retrofit on four bridges along I-40 in the community of Ash Fork (milepost 146). The project will help protect the bridge structures during floods and active water runoff.

Work includes constructing concrete floors underneath the existing bridges, installing shotcrete, riprap, seeding and other related work. This work is needed to upgrade the existing bridges.

Project Schedule

Work is scheduled to begin late spring 2024 and be completed late summer 2024
Schedules are subject to change because of weather and other unforeseen situations.

What To Expect

Traffic restrictions will be minimal as most of the work will be occurring underneath the bridges and off the roadway. Work is scheduled to occur weekdays, though some night and/or weekend work may be required. 

Drivers are reminded to adhere to the speed limit in the work zone, watch for traffic-control devices in the roadway and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
