Restrictions and Closures

Plan for Interstate 40 daytime lane restrictions at the East Seligman Bridges (Exit 123) near Seligman April 18 - June 10

Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for eight weeks of lane restrictions on east- and westbound Interstate 40 at the East Seligman Bridges (Exit 123) near Seligman.

The following restrictions will occur around-the-clock weekdays beginning 7 a.m., Monday, April 18, through 5 p.m. Friday, June 10:

  • East- and westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction near the East Seligman Bridges (Exit 123) between mileposts 122-125.
  • The speed will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone.
  • No weekend restrictions or work is scheduled.

The closures are needed for crews to construct the detour crossovers prior to the bridge deck replacement work beginning later this summer.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment. For more information, visit azdot.gov/I40EastSeligman.

For information about project-related restrictions and closures please visit az511.gov or call 511, except while driving.

Schedules are subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen factors. Remember to slow down and use caution around construction workers and equipment.
