This project is complete

Project Cost: $828,822

The Arizona Department of Transportation is administering a federal project for the City of Cottonwood that will rehabilitate a bridge on Pima Street between North Second Street and Third Street.

Project Cost: $3,971,457

The Arizona Department of Transportation is initiating a nearly $4 million project to improve the condition of the pavement and extend its service life along State Route 69 between Truwood Drive and Stoneridge Drive (mileposts 287-290) in Prescott Valley.

Project Elements

The project will address the deterioration of the road and extend the service life of the existing pavement on both north- and southbound SR 69. This project includes the following elements:

  • Removing and replacing the top layer of pavement on north- and southbound lanes.
  • Repairing damaged sidewalk and updating sidewalk ramps and landings.
  • Restriping pavement markings.

Project Schedule

Construction is anticipated to start in spring 2023 and be completed in fall 2023. The pavement work - and resulting traffic restrictions - will be limited to the overnight hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday evenings through Friday mornings.

ADOT will provide more information about project schedules and potential traffic impacts as information becomes available. Stay informed of traffic restrictions before they occur by subscribing to receive timely traffic alerts by email.

Schedules are subject to change on weather and other unforeseen factors.

What to Expect During Construction

  • A minimum of one lane in each direction will remain open along SR 69 during paving operations.
  • All work will take place overnight to reduce traffic impacts.
  • Drivers need to be prepared to slow down and stop in the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.

ADOT will post information about lane restrictions or closures as it becomes available. If you would like to receive traffic alerts and other updates by email, please subscribe here.
