SR 89: Bramble Drive to Big Chino Rd

Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project on State Route 89 in Paulden between Bramble Drive and Big Chino Road (mileposts 338-339) to construct a new center turn lane (median).

• Widening SR 89 along the east side to construct a new center turn lane.
• Installing a pipe culvert
• Milling and paving

Project Schedule

Work is scheduled to begin in late summer 2025 and be completed in late 2025. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

What to Expect

Road work is scheduled to occur during both the day and evening, depending on scheduled activities. Any lane closures will be done during the evening, Mondays through Fridays.

• Drivers should plan for delays. Lane closures will be allowed only from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM and from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Drivers should be prepared to slow down when approaching and passing through the work zone. Use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
