Overview
US 93 in Mohave County
The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a pavement preservation project along a 3-mile segment of US 93, south of Wikieup. The project area is located between Cholla Canyon Ranch Road and Old Wikieup Hillside Road (mileposts 128-131).

Project Elements
The purpose of this project is to replace the worn pavement, which will extend the lifespan of the road and improve the overall driving experience by creating a smoother riding surface. The work will include:
- Removing the existing pavement and replacing it with new pavement.
- Removing and installing new guardrail.
- New pavement markings and other related work.
What to expect during construction
- Day and nighttime lane restrictions.
- Delays up to 15 minutes.
- Reduced speed limit in the work zone.
- Construction-related noise.
ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the lane restrictions are in place.
Project Schedule
Construction is scheduled to begin summer 2026 and be completed by early 2027. More information on the project schedule will be posted prior to work starting.
Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
