Project Cost: $8,044,142

The Arizona Department of Transportation will resume work in April 2026 on a pavement preservation project along a 16-mile section of westbound Interstate 40 west of Seligman, between Fort Rock Road and Markham Wash Bridge (mileposts 92-108).

Work Includes

  • Milling pavement and applying a two-pass micro-surfacing.
  • Spot pavement repair work.
  • New pavement markings and other related work.

What to expect during construction

  • Daytime lane restrictions.
  • One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the project zone.

Project Schedule

Work will resume Monday, April 27, 2026. Construction is scheduled to be completed at the end of July. 

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
