Plan for lane restrictions on I-10 in Tonopah beginning Sept. 11


Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions along Interstate 10 in Tonopah.

The following lane restrictions will occur between 443rd Avenue (milepost 90) and Wintersburg Road (milepost 100) weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. :

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane on Monday, Sept. 11, and Tuesday, Sept. 12, and then resume on Friday, Sept. 15. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Sept. 13, and Thursday, Sept. 14. 
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. 
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph. 

Contractors are scheduled to pave the road.

Drivers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
