Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation is starting a truck parking expansion project at the Interstate 10 Burnt Wells Rest Area, located at milepost 86 in Tonopah.

- Construct new overflow truck parking lots at each rest area.
- Complete ground clearing and leveling work.
- Prepare soil and pave the parking areas.
- Install prefabricated restroom buildings.
- Install wheel stops.
- Install trash receptacles.
Project Schedule
The project is scheduled to begin in June 2026.
The Burnt Wells Rest Area will remain open during construction.
