I-8 and I-10, Queue Warning System and DMS Installation
Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation is starting a project to install Queue Warning and Dynamic Message Board systems and flashing beacons on Interstate 10 and I 8 within La Paz and Maricopa counties.
Project Elements
- Install a Queue Warning System including flashing beacons, thermal detector poles, cabinets, foundations, roadside signs and conduit
- Install Dynamic Message Boards including poles, foundations, pull boxes, conduit and associated equipment
- Install pole-mounted CCTV cameras and associated equipment
- Install aluminum sign panels, flashing beacons, and associated equipment
- Replace and install new guardrail
- Sawcut and match existing pavement
Project Schedule
- The project is scheduled to begin late summer 2026 and is expected to take 6 months to complete.
