
Plan for lane restrictions on eastbound I-10 in Tonopah beginning Sept. 2
Drivers should also expect lane restrictions on Salome Road beginning Aug. 29
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions on Salome Road in Tonopah beginning Friday, Aug. 29, and along eastbound Interstate 10 beginning Sept. 2.
The following lane restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The north- and southbound Salome Road interchange will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic control via a flagging operation Friday, Aug. 29, for guardrail repair.
The following lane restrictions will occur overnight from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- The north- and southbound Salome Road interchange will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic control via a flagging operation Wednesday, Sept. 10, and Thursday, Sept. 11, for paving.
The following I-10 lane restrictions are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 12, for striping and delineator work.
- Eastbound I-10 between Salome Road and Tonopah (milepost 90) will be reduced to one lane. Note: Motorists should anticipate a 5-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
