
Plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions on I-10 in Tonopah July 20-25
Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah beginning Sunday, July 20.
The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, July 20, through Friday, July 25, for paving:
- East- and westbound I-10 between Salome Road and Tonopah (milepost 90) will be reduced to one lane. Note: Only one direction will be impacted at a time. Motorists should anticipate a 2 to 3-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
The following lane restrictions will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, for guardrail installation:
- Westbound I-10 between Salome Road and Tonopah (milepost 90) will be reduced to one lane. Note: Motorists should anticipate a 1.5-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
