Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan ahead for north- and southbound flagging operations on US 95 in Yuma, for construction of a detour road.

The following restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Tuesday, June 9, through Friday, June 12:

  • North- and southbound US 95 between Imperial Dam Road and Aberdeen Road will be subject to intermittent traffic stops via a flagging operation to accommodate heavy haul trucks entering and exiting the work zone. Note: Motorists should anticipate minor delays during these truck movements.
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will remain in place for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the end of 2026.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction and law enforcement personnel and equipment.
