Construction

Construction equipment works in red dirt
We continue Infrastructure Week 2019 by exploring videos of just some of ADOT's projects that have improved the quality of life in Greater Arizona.
Two slideshows take you through and above projects widening I-10 to three lanes in each direction in Casa Grande and near Eloy.
Overpass bridge under construction
Drivers can expect to see big things soon on I-17 in north Phoenix.
Overpass bridge under construction
Thanks to the work of our photographers, ADOT's Flickr page has more than 9,000 pictures of highway projects from the last six years, which have been viewed more than 6 million times.
Crew working at night
It's a common question - why isn't all construction done at night? There are actually a number of factors weighing into what work can be done at night and what needs to be done during daylight.
I-10 widening and State Route 87 near Eloy
Interstate 10: Earley Road to Interstate 8 If a picture is worth a thousand words, then slideshows of our I-10 widening projects in Casa Grande and the Eloy area are worth many thousands.
South Mountain Freeway Overpass construction
Before and after photos show how ADOT's Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway project is advancing quickly.
Recycling old freeway material.
Recycling is for more than just old newspapers and soda cans. In Pinal County, ADOT is saving time and money as we widen I-10 near Eloy by recycling old highway lanes.
Foundations for new I-10 travel lanes near Eloy.
We are just the past the one-year mark for our project to widen I-10 near Eloy. Watch what we have accomplished so far and what drivers can expect before the work finishes later this year.
This effort is interesting beyond the wow factor, as it's a major step forward for a project widening 4 miles of I-10 to three lanes between Earley Road and I-8 in Casa Grande.
