PODCAST: Catching you up on the Loop 101 Agua Fria widening project

There's a lot happening with ADOT's project widening the Loop 101 (Agua Freeway Freeway) between I-17 and 75th Avenue. So this week we're getting an update from Kim Larson, our Community Relations Project Manager for this improvement.

This project is adding one travel lane in each direction to improve traffic flow on Loop 101 and cross streets. We're also wideing bridges, modifying interchange ramps, adding a third southbound left turn lane onto Loop 101 at 75th Avenue and improving the interchange with I-17. It's being done as part of the Regional Transportation Plan overseen by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and is funded through a voter-approved half-cent sales tax dedicated to transportation.
