New highway safety project starting

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on State Route 95 in north Lake Havasu City to expect overnight lane restrictions and brief delays beginning Wednesday, July 9, as a new highway safety improvement project gets under way.

New project will repave I-40 through Kingman

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 through Kingman to expect lane restrictions beginning Monday, June 7, for a new pavement rehabilitation and roadway improvement project on an 11-mile segment of the highway. The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through the end of the year.

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for eastbound lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah beginning Monday, Aug. 18.

The following lane restrictions will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, for guardrail construction:

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route.
