Input needed on design alternatives
PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation invites the public to attend two public meetings to provide input on options to address traffic operations, safety and regional travel growth along Interstate 10 between the Deck Park Tunnel and the I-10/I-17 Split interchange in Central Phoenix.
An in-person public meeting is planned for Thursday, Nov. 5, at Garfield Elementary School, 811 N. 13th St. in Phoenix. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6 p.m. The open house will continue from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
A virtual public meeting is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. To register and attend the meeting, visit the study webpage at azdot.gov/I-10TunneltoSplit.
ADOT is currently preparing an Environmental Assessment and Design Concept Report to develop and evaluate alternative design concepts for proposed improvements, such as reconfiguring freeway ramp connections and lane configurations through this busy stretch of I-10.
Anyone can attend one or both meetings to learn more, provide input and ask questions. Both meetings will include a presentation followed by an opportunity to ask questions or make comments. Spanish interpretation services will be available.
The meeting materials and a recording of the meeting will be posted to the study webpage by Nov. 4. For more information about the study, visit the study webpage at azdot.gov/I-10TunneltoSplit.
