Project Map

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Kingman area drivers to plan for lane restrictions and travel delays on an 11-mile segment of US 93 north of Kingman and on a 2-mile segment south of Kingman.

Motorists should allow extra travel time while the following daytime restrictions are in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21

  • US 93 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane roughly between downtown Kingman and Mineral Park Road (mileposts 59 to 70).

  • A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23

  • US 93 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane  between the junction with Interstate 40 and Breccia Drive (mileposts 95 to 97).

  • A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

The restrictions are needed so crews can make pavement repairs to the roadway. For more information, visit the project webpage.

The upcoming work is the final two of three segments of pavement repairs on US 93 in Mohave and Yavapai counties. A 2-mile section south of Wikieup was paved last spring.

Expect delays and plan for at least an hour detour

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the full closure of US 60 between Superior and Miami, mileposts 227-243, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, for blasting operations related to the US 60, Queen Creek and Waterfall Canyon Bridges Replacement Project.

  • US 60 between Miami and Magma Mine Road, near milepost 231, will remain open for local traffic only.

Full closures of US 60, when required, will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays through November.

DETOUR: Eastbound US 60 drivers will use southbound State Route 177 through Winkleman to northbound SR 77. Westbound US 60 drivers will use southbound SR 77 through Winkleman to northbound SR 177. Due to the roughly 75-mile length of this detour, drivers may want to consider planning travel before 9 a.m. and after 2 p.m.

Motorist should plan for:

  • Lane restrictions and speed reductions in the work zone.
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction to be in place. Oversize loads may be accommodated with advance notice.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down, use caution and merge safely when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
