At ADOT, safety is always top of mind. Our crews respond to all sorts of incidents on the highway — from wildfires to crashes and more — and it’s important for them to be prepared and refresh their skills so they can help clear the highway and get traffic moving again as quickly and safely as possible.

PHOENIX – Both directions of US 89A are closed in Northern Arizona because of the White Sage Fire.

Southbound US 89A is closed at State Route 389 in Fredonia. Northbound US 89A is closed at milepost 547 at Hatch Way, near Cliff Dwellers Lodge. Motorists traveling north on US 89A will see portable message boards informing them that the closure is at milepost 547.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes. There is no estimated time for the highway to reopen.

US 93 Tony Avenue - Rocky Point Avenue Intersection Improvements Map
