Plan for overnight lane restrictions on Western Avenue/Target Range Road in Nogales beginning July 27
Daily lane restrictions will continue on I-19
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on east- and westbound Western Avenue/Target Range Road at the Interstate 19 Western Avenue Interchange in Nogales to expect lane restrictions from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, July 27, ending Friday, Aug. 28, as work on the bridges rehabilitation project continues.
The following restrictions will occur Monday through Thursday:
- Flagging operations will direct east- and westbound motorists on Western Avenue/Target Range Road through a single lane, one direction at a time. Drivers should be prepared to come to a complete stop and expect delays.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph while the flagging operation is in place.
REMINDER: North- and southbound lane restrictions on I-19 between mileposts 1-1.17 continue daily 24/7 through September. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
