Project Cost: $2,557,000 

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Western Arizona Council of Governments and Mohave County, will begin a construction project this winter to provide continuous roadway connectivity on Mountain View Road in Fort Mohave.

The project elements include: 

  • Construction of a quarter-mile of new roadway, which will connect Sterling to Gardner roads. 
  • Construction of a new half-mile of roadway, which will connect Aztec to Camp Mohave roads.

Work also includes: 

  • Roadway and drainage improvements.
  • Box culvert and drainage pipe installation.
  • Pavement markings, signs, and other related work. 

 

What to expect during construction

  • Lane restrictions will be in effect throughout construction. 
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, and slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the lane restrictions are in place.

 

Project Schedule

Work is scheduled to begin this winter and be completed in summer 2024. More information on the project schedule will be posted prior to the work starting.

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
